As I see it, Mr. Trump picked JD Vance as his running mate for 2 reasons: 1) he brought money into the campaign and Trump likes money more than he likes people, and 2) Vance said that he would have done what his prior VP believed to be unconstitutional.
What Trump and the rest have realized is that Vance is exactly like Trump and will say and do anything that is in his own best interests.
